Explanation of backorder / no backorder
When
you mark “no backorder” on your Perma-Bound order, they will hold
the order until it is 100% complete, or until the “requested
delivery date” nears.
Marking “backorder
yes” will allow Perma-Bound to send the in-stock items in a first
shipment, followed by future backorder shipments as books become
available.
Any further
instructions you put in the special messages box at checkout, or on
your purchase order, are very helpful.
Here are some
examples:
“Please release
this order for shipment asap, placing the unavailable titles on
backorder for up to
2
months. Order must be finalized by 4/15/07”
“Please hold this
order for maximum fulfillment, with one shipment to be received by
05/10/07”

If you submit an
order to Perma-
Bound for books and
matching AR quizzes, Perma-Bound will only order the
quizzes for books you will likely receive with your
order. Because this requires some estimating on
Perma-Bound’s part, you will occasionally receive a
book without the quiz, or a quiz without a book.
For 100% accuracy, either state in your special
messages, "only send quizzes for books shipped on
first shipment," or please place your book order
first, then after the books are delivered, place an
AR order for the books you received.
